Team members from MEC had the opportunity to attend the Queensland Resource Council’s State of the Sector Forum today.
The forum featured a panel of industry leaders who discussed the future of Australia’s energy production with a focus on Queensland as the primary contributor of energy for the east coast.
We’re pleased to share that MEC has become a member of independent industry body the Queensland Resources Council (QRC). A non-government organisation representing the interests of companies involved in exploration, mining, minerals processing and energy production, the QRC works to secure an environment that supports the long-term sustainability of minerals and energy sectors in Queensland.
MEC joined over 500 industry leaders on Tuesday, 8 March at the Queensland Resources Council Women in Mining and Resources Queensland Resources Awards for Women.
QGC’s top female executive and elite athlete Cecile Wake took home the top gong – the Exceptional Woman in Queensland category at the 11th annual 2016 QRC/WIMARQ International Women’s Day Breakfast, held as part of the awards, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
